Rescue Run Club's 30/30 Challenge
Here's a message from our very own Frannie, who coordinated this event!:
"I'm so excited to share a fun and unique fundraising opportunity with you! Rescue Run Club is an organization which started on the west coast by helping shelter dogs raise funds for their shelters and get exposure and exercise all at the same time. After seeing this idea and falling in love with it, I reached out to the founder who is a volunteer at a shelter and asked if RBARI could be their very first east coast recipient.
Both myself and others here at the shelter have been participating in the 30 / 30 Challenge for the past few months to help out other shelters. Rescue Run Club has been kind enough to feature RBARI adoptables Confetti, Everley, Jenna, Bonnie, Neal, and Amos on their Instagram page.
For the month of September, RBARI will be the recipient in the 30 / 30 Challenge! Sign up has started, and the challenge begins on September 1st, 2018.
What is the 30 / 30 Challenge? It's a challenge that asks you to walk, run or hike 30 miles in 30 days with a dog of your choice. You can do the challenge with your own dog, a RBARI dog or a combination of the two (or any other dog you may know)! You can even sign up for multiple dogs.
We are also asking for sponsorship for RBARI dogs. Here's an example: if you can't do the challenge yourself, sign up, pick a RBARI dog, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make sure a staff member or volunteer gets that dog out having fun, being photographed and getting national exposure to potential adopters.
Not only will we be raising money for the shelter and all of our animals, but this is an exciting new partnership and will bring us national attention and additional followers to our social media outlets. It will also get you, us and our dogs outside feeling good, having fun and getting exercise. Sign up or donate by clicking below!
With your help, RBARI can break records and be the biggest Rescue Run Club success ever! Our dogs deserve it and we have such a strong team helping them.
So sign-up and get ready to get out and have some fun for a great cause. Please e-mail me with any questions.
P.S. If you do decide to do the challenge, which we hope you will, please tag @rbarishelter @rescuerunclub and use the hashtag #RescueRunClub3030 !"
